Opened my eBay store

It's official. My Ebay store is finally open.  SLV-SHOPPES

This is something I think anyone who is starting out should do. It is pretty easy and gives you instant traffic. It costs about $15 per month, but your listings in your store are only .06 cents. I now can drive traffic to my store from any of my articles I write or any posts I respond to. 

Why do you want an Ebay store?

1. You can list lots of items for next to nothing.

2. Your store items can be indexed by google. 

3. You look more like a real business.

4. You now have a domain that you can use instantly

5. The more items you have listed, the more chances of generating names for your list.

Remember, Ebay can be a great resource for building someone's opt in list.

Let me explain more on reason #5. This is very important and most Ebay sellers mess this up.

Usually an Ebay seller lists an Ebook for sale at $1.99. Someone purchases the item and gets sent to a download page once the make their payment. The customer then downloads the eBook and that's the end of the sale.

Let me explain the way this should be done.

First you need to set up a download page for your customer to land when they make their purchase. This page is so important. First say thank you for visiting my store and give them the link to their download. Now just below this write something that says "Receive your unadvertised FREE Bonus By Clicking Here" or Something like "Download Your 5 Free eBooks By Clicking Here" Then maybe have a few links below to some of your affiliates that you are promoting. Now once they click on the link for the Free download they come to you Opt in Page. They will need to sign their Name and Email to receive the Free downloads.

 Make sure your Free gifts are of good quality material and not junk. You are doing this for a few reasons. You want their email address to sell them items in the future, but you want to prove that you are honestly giving them something of good quality. This will make them feel like whatever you offer them in the  future will be of the same quality. Your first sale with each customer is so important. Don't screw this up.

Now you can see why building a small download page for every item you sell is the main reason for being on Ebay in the first place. Ebay is a tool to build you list. Don't look to make the money from the auction, it will be from future sales.

Build your self a download page. If you fail to do this, you will be loosing lots of money in the future.

No Website.....No Problem

Let me start by saying that most people think they need a website to be a business. They think how else can you sell products and get paid.  This couldn't further from the truth. 

Lets me  start off by saying that there are a number of ways to sell a product without a website.

1. One easy way would be an affiliate to a product. If your in the Internet business and new, you may have never heard of an affiliate. There are 3rd party company's that handle the money handling between a merchant and the affiliate.  This is very simple to do. You set up an account with ClickBank, and then look at the marketplace. They have thousands of items to choose from. You select a product you want to promote and your off and running. 

How do I promote the item with out a website?

You can start by doing some keyword research and target a few phrases. Then set up a google adwords campaign and start running adds. You can find some pretty good keywords for around .5 - 10 cents a click. Just $5 gets you 100 clicks. If you did your keyword research well, you should convert a few of them to profits. The merchants usually pay out around 50% - 75%  commision. In some cases you could get $50 for on sale. 

How do I get a link to the merchant?

You  take your link provided by Clickbank, and attach it in your campaign. Once a person clicks on your adwords campaign, they a brought right to the merchants site. There you go no website needed.

What if they don't buy that day, but go back to the merchants site in 3 days without going through my link again?

This is probably the most asked question about affiliate marketing. Once they click on your ad, there is a cookie set on their computer. This will stay there for up to 30 days, but sometimes up to 60 days. So, if they visit your link on day one, but bookmark the merchants site and visits again on day 29, you still get the sale. Just remember, once they click on your link, their yours for 30 days.

BUILD A REVIEW BLOG

One other way you could make money without a website, is build a blog at www.blogger.com. These are real easy to build and even easier to update. You can do reviews on products side by side. Have links on your blog as you mention different comparisons. You will put some affiliate links in your review. When they are reading your review, they may click on a link because they want to see what you are talking about. Once they click on a link, there your customer now.

How do I get people to come?

First, you need to make sure that you selected  keywords right for your blog. Take some time to do some research on your selections. Blogger has been known to get ranked pretty well by Google.

There are lots of ways to drive traffic to your blog. I am going to give you 3 ways. First, I would find a few forums in your niche and sign up. When you create your profile, include your blog address in the signature box. This will be displayed when you make replies to questions. Start answering  some questions.  Pick posts that have  lots of views or interest. Try and be a professional with your replies. You may need to do some research to become smart on the subject, but you can do it. Once you make some replies, people will start coming. 

The next way would be to start writing articles and submitting them to the well known companies.( Ezines, Goarticles,UsFreeAds, Ebay Reviews) Your going to want to link from your articles to your blog. This will give your blog a more dominating feel to the search engines. You can also build other blogs with Squidoo and Hub Pages. Again, link to your main blog. 

Another way, would be to put together a small eBook with some useful tips or tricks that could help your Niche crowd. Everyone is looking for tips and advice. Now list it on ebay for .99 cents, and put you links inside to your blog, but also to you merchants that your promoting. You could get people to your blog or people reading and clicking on your links in you book. You might also include a link to your blog on your eBay (about me) page. You can't put links in your description, but you can on the about me page. I think the listing fee is something like .50 cents, but for lots of traffic, you can't beat it.

P.S

You could also put some adsense ads from google on your site and get paid when people click on them. They pay .5 cents up to $1.75 per click. This can add up.

Getting Ready To Submit Video For Money

Hello Everyone,

Well, today I spent most of the day getting things ready for my videos. I am just about ready to start submitting videos to Youtube. I plan to start a video series of myself, using certain products that help me achieve my goals. (Make Money) The videos will show people how to use the product, but also drive them to my blog. You will hear me say this over and over again. We have to build lists. If you have been doing your research on Affiliate Marketing, you probably already know this. This is where you will create a relationship with someone who is a possible future customer. I have read that some Affiliate Marketers have built there list up to 300,000 subscribers. When first starting, I think 1,000 is a good goal.

How do I build a list?

The first way to build a list, is to offer a Free gift. When someone wants to download the gift, they have to enter their name and email to receive it. Now they are on your list. Make sure you give them something valuable that they can use. You don't want them to get the download and say that is useless. If they like the Free gift, they will most likely be interested in your future products that you offer.

I don't have a gift to give away

No problem. Some of you may have downloaded my Free Keyword Tool. You can give that away. You can find Free ebooks with resale rights. You can write 10 How To Tips and give them away. Remember, it is not the quantity, it's the quality of the product. Everyone loves Tips and Tricks. I will give you an example. "10 Tips How To Play  Better Poker " or "How To Take A Great Picture" Give tips away of things you are good at. " 7  Tricks To Be A Better Bowler" The list goes on and on. 

How do find People for My Giveaway

This will take some work. I will give you an  example, but I will  explain in full detail at a later date. 

The first and  easiest way is to join some forums that are active in your niche. Your niche meaning expertise and product you would like to sell. There are tons of forums that you can join for free. No, you don't tell people about it in a post. You don't want them to think you just want their name for your list. You start by joining in on some of the topics and be their friend. Try and answer questions.  You can learn a lot from listening to what the most common problems are in that forum. Now, when you signed up to join the forum, you had a profile that you had to fill out on yourself. There is a spot called your signature or Sig file. This message is displayed at the bottom of every post you make. You will then put your website in that spot directing them to your Free gift. If you don't have a website, you can just post a blog with your download at that location. 

How Do You Keep Track Of The lists And How Do I Get A Sign-Up Form?

This is pretty easy. There are some free services out there, but I went with Aweber. The reason I chose them was because I wanted to have all my lists in one place and didn't want to have to switch down the road. Their services are great and they have templates for sending out newsletters and follow-ups. They also offer a refund after 30 days if you are not satisfied. They have all the forms and templates to get you going fast.

So, this is what I am concentrating on at the moment. We need to build lists. The money is in the list.

Meet The Sniper

Hello Everyone,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Scott Voelker and I am 35 years old. I have a wonderful Wife and 3 beautiful children. Their ages are 12, 9, and 4 weeks old. I know, I am starting all over again. I love it though. I am really just a guy who loves his family and wants to make a decent living.

My wife and are currently full time Photographers and Video Editors in upstate New York. We love what we do, but we love the excitement of internet marketing. Which leads me into why I'm here and writing to you. I have always been doing research on how to make money on the internet, as most people do. I have spent money on countless ebooks explaining different techniques. I do have to say, I usually discovered a thing or two I didn't know. But, I just didn't get the answers I needed to really get me fired up.

Then I came across a system called "RESALE RIGHTS BLUEPRINT". This was what got me fired up. This system laid everything out on a 7 day mini course on how to create a product, market it and do it over and over again. I won't go in to the details in the post, but I will give a complete review in the near future. I will say it was the best $97 I have ever spent. It opened my eyes to things I didn't even know existed.

Then I came across by the name of Travis Sago, and he has lots of Ideas. His system is called "BUM MARKETING METHOD". This is a way of marketing with very little money.You will have to put your time in, it requires time to submit lots of Articles. I won't go in to all the details, but will write a review in the near future. It is very exciting.

My next step was joining the Wealthy Affiliate University. I became a member and signed up for the 8 week course. The program actually gives you all the tools you would ever need to become a successful Affiliate Marketer. They give you a site building section, keyword research tools, lots of tutorials and a first class forum. The forum is one of the most powerful things for any person in the business. You could be a beginner or a seasoned pro. There are so many questions answered there every single day. It is one of the most active forums I have been involved in. I could go on and on about how great it is. I will save the rest for another post.

You may be asking yourself, why am I creating a blog to talk about these topics. I have a few reasons. First, I want to document my progress as I try different techniques. I am a big believer that if you write things down you are more likely to do them. I also thought it would be a good Place for other newbies to follow what I am doing as a learning tool. You will be able to see what I have done and if it worked. This could save you hours if not days in your own business.

My plans for this blog will be to supply my thoughts out loud of what my next move may be. If I try a new product, I will give you an honest review. If I come up with something that works and what I did, you will hear about it. There is so much out there to go through, I might just save you the grief. I am always looking for new tips and tricks to make things easier and more profitable. I will also be giving away a few products from time to time. I have access some good ebooks that would be worth reading. These will come with a full resale rights license as well. So, you could even sell them or give them away as a gift. I will talk more about give aways and resale rights in a post in the future.
